Summer fun!

The weather has been GREAT lately! Finally feels like summer has arrived. The kids left me last week for a week of camping with daddy,their Uncle and Aunt, and some good friends in Idaho. I missed them terribly. I was thrilled to have them return home to me. Full of hugs, kisses and stories of their camping adventures. Tonight was a lazy night. We ate on the porch, did some work around the house, jumped on our new trampoline and mommy snapped some photos. Ahhhh. My happy heart!

A SUNNY Afternoon

The sun came out today. Hurray!!!! We have had day after day of rain. Our summer weather was fashionably late, I guess. Anyways, it's now June. The sun is here. Hopefully to stay. I took the kids to Smallwoods Harvest today. We love this place. A petting zoo, a maze, cow train rides, swings, horseshoes, a beautiful nursery with the most amazing hanging flower pots. We enjoyed a picnic lunch with my parents and my Grandma Irene. A truly happy day!

Super Hero in Training.

Isn't he the cutest? Reading up on how to perform the daily tasks of being a super hero, I guess?

Something to think about.

People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered;

forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;

be kind anyway.

If you are successful you will win some false friends and true enemies;

succeed anyway.

If you are honest people may cheat you;

be honest anyway.

What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;

build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;

be happy anyway.

The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;

do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;

Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

You see, in the end, it is between you and God;

it was never between you and them anyway.
