Another day in paradise

The kids and I are enjoying our spring break. Mostly doing NOTHING! I love it. We did make a little trip out to Cashmere to visit the Pioneer museum, and also the Applets and Cotlets factory. The kids were a little disappointed the factory wasn't making candy today, must be the bad economy :) Eric is chugging away on our bathroom remodel. We may complete this project in under a year!!!! The walls are torn out and so the real work is ahead of us now. I am excited to have my shower back. Tomorrow agenda..... maybe some retail therapy?? Friday is the hockey playoffs. That should be fun. I have squared away a sitter and it will be a date night for Eric and I.

A Walk In The Park

We made an attempt at a walk in the park today, only to have the event cut short due to rain fall. As I am writing this post, the sun is shining and it appears very warm outside. Wouldn't ya know it!!!! Oh well. Maybe tomorrow.

Soccer,Sunshine and a Sick Child.

Flickr.com photo

So soccer season has officially begun. And again, I am thinking to myself "what did I get myself into?" Every night this week has consisted of waking up, getting the kids, feeding them, off to soccer practice, drop them off, off to work, home to sleep, then repeat. CRAZY. I must say it is fun to watch them play again. Both Emilee and Cody are a hoot on the soccer field. Cody's skills consist of screaming on the top of his lungs as he runs randomly around the field, paying no attention to the soccer ball, or the other players. Emilee on the other hand, looks as if she is bored to death. She will walk briskly, take the ball from another player and casually score a goal. No real enthusiasm but then again it is only practice, I am sure she is waiting for the "real stuff".

I am happy to report I am on vacation!!! YEAH! I took spring break off to spend time with the kiddos. We don't have anything real exciting planned, but I am hoping to make a trip to Seattle for a day or two. Maybe some gardening, who knows. The weather is beautiful today. I am threatening to go outside and enjoy it a bit but haven't had any sleep yet. Cate is home sick. Poor baby is CRANKY! Maybe I will just enjoy the sunshine from the comfort of my couch. Tootles for now!

Praying for Stellan

Prayers for Stellan

The world of blogging is a weird one. You follow certain blogs and even if you have never met the writer you begin to feel like you know them. I have been following this blog for a while now, I stumbled upon it because of our common interest in photography. Today I was sad to read that they are going through a very difficult time with their baby boy. If you could join me in saying a prayer for this sweet baby boy and his family, I am sure they would appreciate it.

The faces of a lazy weekend......

Pretty uneventful this weekend but they still look pretty happy underneath the dirty faces, tangled hair. It must not have been that bad.

Back to life, back to reality.

Vacation was wonderful. It was a great little get-away. We were go-go-go the entire time. I am home now and I am feeling like I need another vacation just to recoup from my other vacation. No such luck though. It is back to work, back to running the kids around and back to house chores and other such non sense. The weather has turned beautiful. I think today was in the 50's! The kids start soccer soon so it will be really nice to have that much outside time. Well I just wanted to post a quick update, I have to head off to work in a few hours. I would have posted more pics but my Internet isn't running properly so uploading takes FOREVER! Hopefully that will be fixed soon. What is a blog without pictures???

Ode To My Sweet Niece.... Grace

In the whirlwind of getting ready to head out of town I became a bit sad when it came to my attention that I would be away on my nieces birthday. She is such a special little girl and I hope she knows how much her Aunt, Uncle and cousins love her and think she is pretty neat!!! She is growing up so quickly. It seems that it was just yesterday I was attending your first birthday in Idaho. I remember the cute little pink tiara and your little baby buddies that were there as well. I think my favorite birthday memory was when Grace and her family invited us up to a vacation home in Chelan for the weekend, it was beautiful.
Here are a few of my favorite photos of sweet Grace. Happy Birthday Grace. Sorry I will be gone on your birthday!

Quick Update

Here I am! I can't believe how long it has been since I posted anything. Life has been busy. I am on my short weekend. Two days off and so much to do. It is my last two days off before my trip to Vegas so I will busy preparing myself and Eric for the trip and the kids for there adventure to Grandmas. The weather was beautiful yesterday so I am hoping the next two days will be nice as well. I can't wait to be able to send the kids in the backyard to run off some of their energy! Well it is early, and I have lots to do. Here are a few photos taken over the last couple of days. See ya soon.

My guys, doing "guy stuff".

Emilee being a little drama queen.
My Cody, being a ham!

Here is a picture of the adorable tutu I made for Cate, she refuses to wear it. Oh well it makes a cute decoration.
We had a fun little family get away to Spokane to celebrate my mom's birthday.

I took Baby Ava's 6 month photos. She is just too cute!

Say Cheese!

I did two photo shoots this weekend! Fun for me!!!! The first was for my co-worker/dear friend. Her kids were just adorable. She has a wonderful blog in which I am sure she will post her pics to share with the world but here is a sneak peak....

The second is my dear Caitlyn. I had an idea I wanted to try out and she made the perfect guinea pig.

This just in..... SUN!

I awoke from my day sleep after a long miserably boring night of graveyard to find.....SUNSHINE. I was so happy to look out my window and see a bright, beautiful and somewhat warm afternoon awaiting me. I even woke up an hour earlier (I am going to pay for that one about 3am this morning oops!). I grabbed my camera and snapped the first thing I saw. Now it is still early, early spring so things are quite to the beautiful photography stage yet but I will take what I can get... ENJOY!!!

Wishing I was here.......

It's Friday. I awoke to snow falling. Yuck. Enough already, next season please! It has been well over a week since I have posted anything and yet and sit here to type and NOTHING! I don't have any cute kid stories, no good crime stories from the land of dispatch and no beautiful photography to post. Hmmmm. What is a girl to do. Well don't give up on me. I am sure it is just an off week. Check back. I will be sure to go stir up some drama so I have something to write about.

Baby Ava

Isn't baby Ava just the cutest! Her mom lets me photograph her every month. I get practice and her mommy gets great pictures. It is a wonderful arrangement. The sicklings are recovering, life is mostly back to normal. I am amidst my short work week. I don't think we have anything planned for my upcoming days off. Maybe spring cleaning?? It is about that time. OH JOY!

Weekend Update

I can't believe the weekend is over already. I had big plans for my four days off and then sickness fell over the Wentworth household. Eric was feeling crummy all weekend long. He was a good sport and tried to fake having fun but I could tell he wasn't up to full speed. Cody was a tad big under the weather, he wasn't admitting to being sick but he was a little sluggish as well. Saturday night was the big hockey game. We took the older two kids. They loved all the yelling and cheering. Cody pooped out about halfway through. Sunday we had a big Superbowl party planned. I almost canceled due to my boys being sick but we partied on. It was a full house. Lots of kids laughing and running around. Good food and even better company. I loved being able to spend time with some of my co-workers, outside of work. Fun, fun!
