Say Cheese!

I did two photo shoots this weekend! Fun for me!!!! The first was for my co-worker/dear friend. Her kids were just adorable. She has a wonderful blog in which I am sure she will post her pics to share with the world but here is a sneak peak....


The second is my dear Caitlyn. I had an idea I wanted to try out and she made the perfect guinea pig.

This just in..... SUN!

I awoke from my day sleep after a long miserably boring night of graveyard to find.....SUNSHINE. I was so happy to look out my window and see a bright, beautiful and somewhat warm afternoon awaiting me. I even woke up an hour earlier (I am going to pay for that one about 3am this morning oops!). I grabbed my camera and snapped the first thing I saw. Now it is still early, early spring so things are quite to the beautiful photography stage yet but I will take what I can get... ENJOY!!!

Wishing I was here.......

It's Friday. I awoke to snow falling. Yuck. Enough already, next season please! It has been well over a week since I have posted anything and yet and sit here to type and NOTHING! I don't have any cute kid stories, no good crime stories from the land of dispatch and no beautiful photography to post. Hmmmm. What is a girl to do. Well don't give up on me. I am sure it is just an off week. Check back. I will be sure to go stir up some drama so I have something to write about.

Baby Ava

Isn't baby Ava just the cutest! Her mom lets me photograph her every month. I get practice and her mommy gets great pictures. It is a wonderful arrangement. The sicklings are recovering, life is mostly back to normal. I am amidst my short work week. I don't think we have anything planned for my upcoming days off. Maybe spring cleaning?? It is about that time. OH JOY!

Weekend Update

I can't believe the weekend is over already. I had big plans for my four days off and then sickness fell over the Wentworth household. Eric was feeling crummy all weekend long. He was a good sport and tried to fake having fun but I could tell he wasn't up to full speed. Cody was a tad big under the weather, he wasn't admitting to being sick but he was a little sluggish as well. Saturday night was the big hockey game. We took the older two kids. They loved all the yelling and cheering. Cody pooped out about halfway through. Sunday we had a big Superbowl party planned. I almost canceled due to my boys being sick but we partied on. It was a full house. Lots of kids laughing and running around. Good food and even better company. I loved being able to spend time with some of my co-workers, outside of work. Fun, fun!

Leane Rimes

Last night was the Leane Rimes concert. We have this brand new arena here in town and it is just beautiful. This was the first "big name" concert so it attracted a lot of people. It was pretty fun. We had some friends of us hook us up with some tickets and we sat fairly close to the stage. She put on a great concert!

Sunday already??? What a week. Monday was a holiday so the kids and I went to the play gym. It has been quite awhile since we have done this. I think they really enjoyed it. I pretty much didn't see the older two the whole time, they were too busy running around. Cate and I hung out mostly on the swing. She was a little unsure of all the chaos. The rest of the week consisted of my hubby working a TON of overtime so I got to play single mom. I had some help (thanks grandparents!) and for that I am always so grateful for. Weeks like this make me appreciate my husband. I don't realize how much he pitches in at home until he is not around! WOW!

So he was off making me some good money so I of course got to work spending it for him. We are going to Vegas baby!! I am super excited. It is our first time to Las Vegas. I am not exactly sure what we are going to do when we get there, probably a little of everything. We are going with another couple so it should be lots of fun.

Anyways, I better run. It is my long work week. I am sick. My voice is shot and I am tired and cranky!

When a 4 year old gets ahold of the video camera....

How can one little boy melt my heart so?

To help set the scene. It has been a busy day. Kids were screaming, wild and a bit needy. To top it off I had an extra kid as well. Emilee had a play date. I spent the day cleaning. Before I know it the clock says 4:40, I am suppose to be ready for dinner with my hubby by 5:00. I rush to get ready. I scramble out the door to the Eric and the kids awaiting in the truck. I plop inside and hear.....

"Oh mommy, you look so beautiful tonight".

Eric assured me he didn't set him up to say that, and then my heart melted.

My New Flip!

I don't think I have shared about my new Christmas present. Eric bought me this adorable digital camcorder. It is so small and cute, and better yet... simple to use. I have had it for a week or so and haven't really had anything to record but I just couldn't wait any longer to post a video so we played around and made a couple of goofy videos. Enjoy!

Introduction of a BIG GIRL BED!

"What did you do to my crib?"

"Okay, maybe this isn't so bad"

"I WANT MY CRIB BACK!!!!!"

Great story?? Maybe the first time, but by the third or fourth time I was having serious doubts about making the transition from crib to big girl bed. She did just fine though. Finally fell asleep, never fell out and all it fine today. Well... I did wake up at 6:15 AM to this horrible sound of something pounding. I asked Eric to go check on the mystery noise. It was my little angel pounding on her door! Next step, explaining the concept of SLEEPING IN on the weekends.

We are back from Idaho! The already long 4 hour trip turned into a even longer, more miserable 7 hour drive due to snow. It was a terrible trip home. Very strong gust of wind blowing snow over the roadway. It was crazy! It is good to be home.

Winter Wonderland

Sunday afternoon at the Wentworth's. Eric and the girls spent the morning running around town looking for Rockband for the Wii, no luck but I think we tracked one down in Idaho, (that will have to be another post,another day), Cody went to church with Grandpa and I got a little sleep. After I woke up the kids and I ventured out into the backyard in hopes of building the perfect snowman. The snow wasn't right for for snowman but we had a good time anyways. We had a snowball fight and made some snow angels. The kids lasted for a bit longer than I thought they would in the cold and then we headed indoors for a cup of warm cocoa. Next it was off to the horse stables to care for Scotch. It was too cold to ride so we just loved on him a bit. The kids wanted to go out to eat so they picked....Denny's. I was under the impression you had to be at least 65 to eat at Denny's but I was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty tasty and very inexpensive. We may go back!! (Kids eat free on Tuesdays) Then it was off to home for bedtime, well for most. I headed off to work for a long, boring night with NOTHING going on. One more night of work and then I get a week off!!!
