Off To Beautiful Idaho

We are heading to Idaho today. I posted this old picture from the last time we were there. I love going to the cabin, it is so peaceful and beautiful. We are attempting to take our "new to us" camper with us. If we make it, the stay will be much easier having the camper. I always get nervous pulling the camper that far so hopefully all goes well. I can't wait to take some great pictures to share.

Emilee Starts School

I did it! I sent my baby girl off to school today, and no I didn't even cry. Today was an easy day though, I got to go with her. It was "meet your teacher day" so Emilee and I got to go check out her class and the school. Tomorrow she will go alone, no longer my baby but a school aged girl! I can hardly believe it. She is very excited though, she has outfits picked out for the next week! Here are a few pictures of the big event!

Silverwood!

We took our annual trip to Silverwood this weekend. We had a great time. The weather was nice and the crowds were not too bad. Shown here is the train ride, voted favorite ride by Cody.

Emilee preferred the slightly faster rides, like the Tilt O'Whirl. She wasn't quite ready to jump on the wooden roller coaster, maybe next year. We tried the water park but found that it was just a little too cold.

I borrowed this photo from my sister, I hope she doesn't mind.
This picture shows what I remember most about the trip. CHAOS!!!! Traveling with three kids, one being only two months old is not relaxing to say the least. I am glad we went, and I know the kids had fun. Someday I will look back at these pictures and laugh. If you feel like laughing now check out a few more pictures from our trip.

Giving Credit Where Credit is Due

A couple of days ago I posted a picture of Caitlyns feet, I love that photo but I just wanted to confess that I didn't get that idea on my own. I don't know what the copyright etiquette on pictures is but I didn't want to offend anybody. I was browsing a friends blog when they had a link to a great photographer named Alecia Silva. She had this picture on her web page and loved it. Since then I have been searching the web for other great photographers. It's my goal to be a favorite link page with my pictures, but that is a ways off, so for now I will continue to get inspiration from others. Check out my links for a few that I found.

Enjoying The Milestones

Caitlyn is just three days shy of turning 2 months old. Time sure goes fast. It's hard to believe that a year ago at this time we thought our family was complete, I am sure glad we were wrong. What a special little baby! It has been just over a week that she flashing us her beautiful smile. Everyday she is getting stronger and stronger. She will be sitting up before we know it. I will be blogging all the "first" so stay tuned......

My Furry Kids

I would like to introduce my other two kids. This is Sam and Missy. We have had Sam, the male St Bernard since he was 6 weeks old and then we adopted Missy, our female, when she was a year old. I know what everyone is thinking, as if having three human kids isn't enough you have two 150 pounds furry kids as well???? Yup, we are CRAZY! They are a great addition to our family though. The kids absolutely love them. Emilee rides them like a pony. They are very gentle and protective of the kids. They go through a 55 pound bag of dog food about every week and a half and last time I checked they weigh in right about 150. Just like my human kids they drive me crazy some days. They get bored and get into trouble, as if to remind us that we need to pay more attention to them. Oh and then there is the lovely "little" piles they leave all over the yard, that's always fun to keep up with. Anyways that's who they are, we love them. They add to the crazy dynamic of our family and life just wouldn't be the same without them.

A Beautiful Rainbow

Emilee was so excited when she spotted this beautiful rainbow in the sky last night. She was running through the house " Mommy get your camera, this is sooooo pretty." She knows me so well, and knows how to spot a good photo opt too!

What Makes You Happy?

I love this photo! To me it symbolizes everything I treasure. It symbolizes my love for my husband and also the beautiful gift he has given me, my children. I thank God everyday for all that I have. I was writing this blog when my kids asked me what I was doing, I told them I was writing about what makes me happy. I asked them to tell me what makes them happy. This is their list.....

Cody: fruit snacks

going to swing at the park

playing with cousin Trent

the color yellow

airplanes

Emilee: playing with horses

going to the park

doing crafts with mommy

Caitlyn: (according to Cody) baby milk

A Special Summer

I have one month left until I return to work after being on maternity leave for 3 months. The time off has been great but gone so fast. The kids and I have had a great summer hanging out together. Leaving the house with all three kids is quite the adventure but we have managed to make a few trips to the park or swimming.
Emilee will be starting school next week and I can't help but get a little emotional about it. Time goes so fast. I look at baby Caitlyn and it seems like Emilee was just that size. With that being said I hope you all will check out my photos, I have been a little picture crazy this summer, trying to capture every moment before it passes.
