Tranquil

My usually hyper ballerina was a bit "tranquil" today. It's been one of those days.

Frolic

My kids were off "frolicking" in the snow. My mother in law took them on a sleigh ride so I am sure they are having a blast. I thought today's word of "frolic" was going to be a piece of cake, but it was shockingly quiet around here today. The dog didn't even feel much like frolicking. I tried.

Package

The quote on the photo is a bit hard to read so here it is-----

"And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more." - Dr. Suess

Family

Oops. A day late on my post. The word was family. I had every intention of snapping a family portrait. Didn't happen. Well I did snap several family portraits just not of my family. So here is the Smith family, they were fun to photograph, a bit of a challenge at times with the littlest one but overall very fun!

Spacious

Snowy roads, very little traffic. I quiet, peacefulness. Even on a busy road like we live on, today it feels-spacious!

Believe

"On Christmas Eve many years ago I laid quietly in my bed. I did not rustle the sheets, I breathed slowly and silently. I was listening for a sound I was afraid I'd never hear: the sound of Santa's sleigh bells."

"Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings." --ZuZu Bailey

Decorate

I had a fabulous, stress-filled, fun-filled, loud but oh-so-wonderful weekend. The kids and I along with my parents drove over the pass to visit my sister and her family. The highlight of the trip, my niece performed in the Nutcracker ballet. It was beautiful and she did a fabulous job. We also celebrated my nephew and my dads birthday. Lots of eating, lots of excitement, a little yelling but mostly lots of love!

Currency

Tough word to incorporate into a picture. I had many different variations of this theme, this is the one I went with.

And these are the ones that almost made the cut.....

Happy Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year, we celebrated with a delicious meal at our place. My sister and her family braved the passes to make it along with my grandma and my parents. It was fun to get everyone together for a yummy food. It has a been a difficult holiday for many reasons but I am truly thankful that my family came together to celebrate. I do have a lot to be thankful for this year!
