Happy Halloween

Here is a funny video of my kids shaking their tail feathers. It's a little blurry for some reason, when I made it it was perfectly clear but when I post it it looks pretty blurry. I am not sure why. Well I will post this one for now and then try to figure out how to fix it.

I Wanna Be a Rockstar!

A was awaken from my sleep today by the most beautiful singing I have heard in a long time. Maybe it's the new hair do that inspired this rising rock star???
Cody: (singing) "Do a little dance.....hhhmmm ......Get down, get down, get down, whooooooo"

Pink!

I decided to play along with a photo contest called Photo Hunt. The idea is to submit a favorite photo that goes along with that weeks theme. This week being "Pink". So here is my favorite "Pink" photo.
This picture was taken two years ago at Emilee's first dance recital. Her class was pink poodles dancing to "How Much Is That Doggie in the Window". I loved it, I thought she was adorable. Unfortunately she didn't enjoy dance all that much and it was her first and last recital, for now!

The Wentworth Scowl

My normally very happy baby has already mastered the Wentworth scowl! It amazes how quickly a small baby can pick up on facial expressions in which everyone in this family has. I love this photo!

Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

The Eastmont FFA group puts together a great pumpkin patch each year. Today, Cody's class took a field trip to visit and I had the joy of helping out. It was a lot of fun, they had face painting, a few animals, tractor rides. a bunch of games and a maze. We took seven kids, five boys and 2 girls. The boys have a lot of energy! I don't know how Cody's teacher does it everyday, WOW.

A Special Tea for Two!

It is so much having two girls. Seeing the special relationship between the two is so rewarding.

Cody Gets A New Do!!!

Yup, his do is blue!!

What We Did This Weekend

Eric along with a group of the guys headed off to Spokane for a hockey game.

Mommy had the girls over for a "girl night". We had fun, everyone brought there kids, we ate mexican food and had a few margaritas. Good times.

We took the kids to meet Karrie and Devons new baby, Aubrey. They thought she was pretty neat. I am not sure they are going to like having to share the attention of their "Uncle Devon" though.

The kids had their picture taken. We did the Antiquities photos and it went pretty good. Emilee didn't appreciate being told what to wear but we manage to talk her into a pretty lace dress. Caitlyn drooled all over the dress they gave her, and Cody hammed it up. The photographer didn't even have to tell him how to pose, he did it all himself. (hhhhmmm maybe too much picture taking at home??)

Since Eric was out of town, I wasn't able to work friday night which is my regular shift so instead I worked saturday night. It was busy lots of stuff going, Oktoberfest kept me busy.

My dad offered to take the kids to church on Sunday morning, which I always appreciate. They had a good time, and even were treated to there favorite meal afterwards at McDonalds.

Eric was sweet enough to clean the house while I was getting a little sleep on sunday morning, he always does a great job. Normally his perfectionism gets on my nerves but in this case, its wonderful!!!

And finally we just spent a quite evening at home.

I have the next couple of days off so stop by, say hi, have some coffee, whatever!

Thing I don't do...

So I was reading a great entry on Seek First His Kingdom. She was commenting on the pressure she feels as a mom, a wife, homemaker and a women with a full time job. I can totally relate! I feel the pressure everyday from every direction. So for therapeutic reasons, here is my list of what I don't do... somehow it helps just to spell it out.

  1. I don't cook, everything comes out of a box, or a drive-thru.

  2. I don't do laundry nearly enough, and if I do, the clean clothes will sit in the laundry basket for up to three days.

  3. I rarely make my bed. Being on graveyard, somebody is almost always sleeping in it.

  4. There are many nights I don't read to my children.

  5. I don't sign up for nearly as much overtime at work as others do, for this I feel guilty.

  6. I don't spend enough time at home because I have signed up for too much overtime, for this I feel guilty.

  7. I don't scrapbook anymore, its been well over a year.

  8. I don't go to the PTO meetings or volunteer in Emilee's class.

  9. I don't go to church nearly enough.

That being said, you all know my dirty little secrets! But on a little more positive note here is a list of my goals as a wife/mother/homemaker and employee.

  1. Learn to cook in large quantities and freeze meals for those nights when life is busy.

  2. Hire a housekeeper/ My time is precious I would rather be playing with my kids.

  3. Be a better employee, have a better attitude and be good at what I do.

  4. Continue to take a ton of pictures so that when the time comes that I do have time to scrapbook, my pages will be awesome!

  5. Teach my children about the love of God, at home, in the car, at the park, wherever. Let them know we can worship God even if we don't make it to church.

  6. Stop feeling so much guilt. I must realize that my kids are doing fine, they have the love of their mother, father, grandparents , aunts and uncles and many good friends. They are happy, well balance, and some what spoiled children!

7 Random Thoughts About..... Whatever!

  1. Cody's daycare had fire safety day today, The fireman came with the big truck, showed the kids his fire suit, turned the siren on. Cody was scared, and cried. But if you ask him he says " I wasn't crying I was saying Whooo Hooo".

  2. My house is the messiest is its ever been, laundry is piled up. I have no energy to do much about it. Graveyard is kicking my butt!!1

  3. Emilee has school pictures tomorrow, she insist she needs highlights. Where does she get this? She is five!!!!

  4. Caitlyn is finally adjusting to mommy being gone during the night, she is also trying really hard to sit up. Oh and she eats rice cereal too!

  5. Eric went hunting, didn't see a single moving animal, he was bummed out.

  6. My wedding ring is going to be finished tonight. Yup, I had to take it in again because it lost a stone, if your counting that is number 5 (in 9 months). If your in the market for jewelry call me, I will tell you where NOT to go.

  7. I discovered a new addiction of mine, Coconut Cream by Coffee Mate I am not sure how I stumbled upon it but its delicious. I drink two plus cups a day! Don't tell my dentist.

Look-alike Meter

Thanks Dawn, this was fun.

dove evolution

I posted one of these last week, but heres another one. I think its a great campaign. The commercials are great!

Future Class Clown?

Do you remember the kid in class who was always sticking pencils out of his nose, or making farting noises with his armpit, or the kid at the party who had the lampshade on his head? I am pretty sure I am raising that boy. I took these days on a typical day, nothing was really going on. I sent Cody to the bathroom and when he was in there for what I thought was a little too long, he came out looking like this. Should I be worried??

The Grocery List

Emilee was a big help to me today. I had my hands full (feeding baby) and she needs practice writing her letters so we worked together to make a grocery list. I think she did great!

Emilee and Emilee

We have been so lucky to have such good neighbors over the years. One of our favorites little neighbor was when we lived on Wedgewood Ave. "Big Emilee". We have always called her that, just big in the fact that she is older than our Emilee. She would climb over our fence and spend hours at our house each day. We still get the girls together to play every so often but we sure miss seeing her every day.

Caitlyn gets her first cereal!!!!

Waiting for Grandpa!

Cody was invited to spend the night at grandmas and grandpas house. He was so excited. It was just him and my nephew Trent. It was there "boy party". You see we have had a ton of baby showers lately and mommy told him those were parties or girls, I guess he was feeling pretty left out because when grandpa invited him over he got it through his head that this was his turn to party. He called it his Thomas the Train birthday party. He packed himself a birthday gift and headed off with his Thomas the Train suitcase. The first thing he said when grandpa came to pick him up was "Do you have a cake?"

Sweet Moments

Coffee With My Girls....

Emilee had a half day at school so we were able to spend some time together while Cody was at preschool. We went to coffee, went shopping at the mall and then we had lunch with grandma Janice. I can't believe how quickly she is growing up. I treasure our special afternoons together.

Smallwoods Harvest, Peshastin

The drive to Peshastin was worth the whole trip. The leaves were changing colors and looked spectacular. I feel so fortunate to live in such a beautiful area.
I love this picture but I can't help but look at the expression on Cody's face and think, "middle child syndrome". I am pretty sure I just caught him off guard and there are no feelings of resentment towards his sisters.... but just in case I will rush out and get some parenting books!

Who me feed my kids carmel apples an hour before dinner???? NEVER. Here are a few more pictures from out little adventure.

My Little Pumpkin

I was on my little photo kick again today, I got some great pumpkin pictures though!
