The kids and I made an attempt to go pick our own pumpkins this year. We headed out to a local pumpkin patch I had heard about from a few different folks. We arrived and wouldn't you know it....they were out of pumpkins. Well there was a few rotten pumpkins left scattered about. Mostly it was a field of corn husks. The kids were not disappointed in the least, they ran around picking dried up corn. Great fun??!!?? We stopped at Fred Meyers and bought a few pumpkins so mission accomplished. Pumpkins...check. Great memories...check.
