Sunday afternoon at the Wentworth's. Eric and the girls spent the morning running around town looking for Rockband for the Wii, no luck but I think we tracked one down in Idaho, (that will have to be another post, another day), Cody went to church with Grandpa and I got a little sleep. After I woke up the kids and I ventured out into the backyard in hopes of building the perfect snowman. The snow wasn't right for for snowman but we had a good time anyways. We had a snowball fight and made some snow angels. The kids lasted for a bit longer than I thought they would in the cold and then we headed indoors for a cup of warm cocoa. Next it was off to the horse stables to care for Scotch. It was too cold to ride so we just loved on him a bit. The kids wanted to go out to eat so they picked....Denny's. I was under the impression you had to be at least 65 to eat at Denny's but I was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty tasty and very inexpensive. We may go back!! (Kids eat free on Tuesdays) Then it was off to home for bedtime, well for most. I headed off to work for a long, boring night with NOTHING going on. One more night of work and then I get a week off!!!

It's the day after Christmas. The kids are hyped up. Bouncing from one new toy to the next. There is wrapping, and packaging thrown all about. There are toys to be assembled and batteries to be installed. It was a great Christmas. We spent Christmas Eve with Eric's mom and Christmas morning with my parents. We had a lovely meal yesterday afternoon and then we all CRASHED! Today we are off to make a few returns and hopefully find some Christmas lights on sale!!!

What a fun day!!!! For most....
While I was snuggled warm in my bed with dreams of sugar plums dancing in my head, the kids were off having fun, without me! How can it be???
Emilee spent the day with my dear co-worker who graciously offered to watch her while I slept. She showed Emilee a great time. I could barely get her to leave. She went sledding!!! I was totally jealous. She went on and on about how much fun she had. I was pretty happy for her. Now I just HAVE to go, I am sure Cody would love it also. I have been waiting for warmer weather and I hear there may be some in our future. We will see!

Not only did she get to go sledding but she had a tea party, and made Christmas cookies. Lucky girl!
Cody and Caitlyn also had a pretty special day. They had a Christmas party at daycare. The kids all brought gifts to exchange. Then a very special visitor showed up......
Santa came to daycare!!! Those lucky kids. As busy as the big guy is he found time to visit a daycare. What a guy!!!!
We came home and ate dinner and gave the kids a bath, it was 6:30 and Emilee was ASKING to go to bed! That is a sign of a productive day.

The excitement of Christmas being just days away has set upon the Wentworth household. The kids are bouncing off the walls! They are excited for Santa, they are excited about the snow and they are overloaded on sugar. I am a bit excited too I will admit but I do have one little wish! Warmer weather. Double digits would be nice, it's not asking a lot. Just warm enough so I can throw my kids in the back yard and enjoy a cup of coffee in PEACE AND QUITE!
Alright a quick weekend update... It was my long weekend. Yeah! I worked a short overtime shift Friday night. It was cold and snowy so there wasn't much going on so I was able to finish a book I have been reading. It was great, check it out! (Thanks RV for letting me borrow it)
A friend of mine did my hair for me. I went with RED! I have been every other color so I thought, why not??? It took me a couple of days to get used to it but I like it. Thanks Molly! In exchange for the new do, I offered to take Molly's family pictures. What a great family! They were fun to photograph. Being much older kids I was surprised they were as willing to participate. They had a great attitude and I think they turned out pretty good.
Eric had his co-workers over Saturday night for a little Christmas party. That was fun! Great group of guys and lovely significant others! We had a great time. The kids got to have a sleepover so they were thrilled. The girls went to Grandma Cheryl's. Emilee went on and on about how much fun she had, so thanks Cheryl! Cody spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa Hendricks. He is so funny. Grandpa picks him up for church every Sunday and he didn't want to miss out on that so he decided to stay there instead of with the girls. Note to self, buy that kid a new shirt! He wears that one EVERY week!!!! Other than that, we got a lot of snow!! It is beautiful. Very cold but beautiful. We drove the kids around to look at lights. The local paper has a list of what they say are the best in the valley. I would have to disagree with some of their choices but some were very impressive. It gave us a few ideas of how to step it up on our light display and maybe we will be in the running here in the next year or two!
That's about it. I better go. Emilee is home from school. She is wanting to do a little craft. See ya'll.

Family Portraits-Atkinson Family
A Little Helpful Information
So my son told me a couple of weeks ago that he sent his letter to Santa. I knew this was a fib but I played along. This morning he was very upset, he said he never really sent his letter and he didn't know how to write Santa and now he was afraid he wouldn't get any presents. Poor kid. I assured him that we could just drop Santa an email and it would get there with plenty of time. Little did I know. Yes, you can actually email Santa. We went to emailsanta.com. Not only can you email the big guy but you can check his naughty and nice list, look at his web cam and even get a instant response (it is even personalized.) Check it out. It is very cool!!!
