Always a ham!
Dirty face and all, he is still so handsome!
So I am in the midst of my long weekend. God bless the long weekends. If it weren't for the four days off every other week I don't think I could go on working. It seems just when I am reaching the very end of my rope and extreme exhaustion sets in....the weekend comes! So this weekend I got a few things accomplished. Cody's room painted, a little housework (Eric did most of it, thank you honey!), one birthday party, one baby shower, and one Super Bowl party. I was going to try to tackle painting Em's room but its back to work tomorrow night so unless I can squeeze it in tomorrow afternoon it will have to wait.
The kids and I made it to church today. It has only been.... 6 months. Yikes! Anyways, going to church with my kids is like going to the library. They just don't know the rules on how to act. They did okay, we made it through about half the service before slipping out. Cody and Caitlyn got all dressed up nice, and Emilee my little rebel insisted on jeans. She is such a stinker. She knows we fight about this every time we get around to going to church. She refuses to wear a dress, even though she will wear dresses to school. So after much argueing I agree to let her wear nice pants and a nice shirt. She comes out with her oldest pair of jeans and a shirt with a stain on it. I make her change. She then comes out with nicer jeans but a shirt that is all wrinkly and barely fits her, it is falling off her shoulders. I again make her change. She finally comes out with a fairly decent shirt and some nice jeans. I resist the urge to make her go put a dress on and just let her be. She is a patience tester! After church she ran over to Pastor Jerry, handed him a tithing envelope all sealed up with her name on it. He happily opened it to find a beautifully colored picture, he thanked her and told her how beautiful it was. She was gleeming as we left. We got into the car and I told her how nice I thought that was of her to make such a beautiful picture for Pastor Jerry. She smiled at me at said "I know, but I didn't color that one, Grace did!"

I love that story about the envelope Darcie. She is so funny.
that was so funny. Its great how God gave Grandpas limited memory to recall if you ever did something like that at your age? and I am sure she did not learn it from her Grandpa....Don't blink...
those are great pictures.
You are lucky to have 4 days off every other week. I get a 4 day weekend once a month but I have to work the other 3 weekends.
You are so brave getting your three kids to church. Next week we will be taking Jaxson to church for the first time and I am worried about just getting him ready to go! :)
These children are such true wonders of God. I love the story about the picture that Grace colored. Cody, he is handsome even with a little dirt on his face. And Cate, well, there is a true face of an ANGEL. of course I am a little biased. thanks for posting these pictures, You are such an amazing wife and mother!
