The excitement of Christmas being just days away has set upon the Wentworth household. The kids are bouncing off the walls! They are excited for Santa, they are excited about the snow and they are overloaded on sugar. I am a bit excited too I will admit but I do have one little wish! Warmer weather. Double digits would be nice, it's not asking a lot. Just warm enough so I can throw my kids in the back yard and enjoy a cup of coffee in PEACE AND QUITE!

Alright a quick weekend update... It was my long weekend. Yeah! I worked a short overtime shift Friday night. It was cold and snowy so there wasn't much going on so I was able to finish a book I have been reading. It was great, check it out! (Thanks RV for letting me borrow it)
A friend of mine did my hair for me. I went with RED! I have been every other color so I thought, why not??? It took me a couple of days to get used to it but I like it. Thanks Molly!

In exchange for the new do, I offered to take Molly's family pictures. What a great family! They were fun to photograph. Being much older kids I was surprised they were as willing to participate. They had a great attitude and I think they turned out pretty good.

Eric had his co-workers over Saturday night for a little Christmas party. That was fun! Great group of guys and lovely significant others! We had a great time. The kids got to have a sleepover so they were thrilled. The girls went to Grandma Cheryl's. Emilee went on and on about how much fun she had, so thanks Cheryl! Cody spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa Hendricks. He is so funny. Grandpa picks him up for church every Sunday and he didn't want to miss out on that so he decided to stay there instead of with the girls. Note to self, buy that kid a new shirt! He wears that one EVERY week!!!! Other than that, we got a lot of snow!! It is beautiful. Very cold but beautiful. We drove the kids around to look at lights. The local paper has a list of what they say are the best in the valley. I would have to disagree with some of their choices but some were very impressive. It gave us a few ideas of how to step it up on our light display and maybe we will be in the running here in the next year or two!

That's about it. I better go. Emilee is home from school. She is wanting to do a little craft. See ya'll.

I LOVED the shack. It was one of the very best books I've read in a long time, and I wizzed through it. Hard to see the words through the tears, though.

My first stop over...you have a great blog. I found you thru Rebekah at Diagonally...

I am a dispatcher too! Thankfully, I am only part time now. My full time - twelve hour graveyard shifts are behind me. Well, I do work a couple from time to time...but NEVER in a row! OUCH.

...and I enjoyed reading The Shack too.
