The excitement of Christmas being just days away has set upon the Wentworth household. The kids are bouncing off the walls! They are excited for Santa, they are excited about the snow and they are overloaded on sugar. I am a bit excited too I will admit but I do have one little wish! Warmer weather. Double digits would be nice, it's not asking a lot. Just warm enough so I can throw my kids in the back yard and enjoy a cup of coffee in PEACE AND QUITE!

Alright a quick weekend update... It was my long weekend. Yeah! I worked a short overtime shift Friday night. It was cold and snowy so there wasn't much going on so I was able to finish a book I have been reading. It was great, check it out! (Thanks RV for letting me borrow it)
A friend of mine did my hair for me. I went with RED! I have been every other color so I thought, why not??? It took me a couple of days to get used to it but I like it. Thanks Molly!

In exchange for the new do, I offered to take Molly's family pictures. What a great family! They were fun to photograph. Being much older kids I was surprised they were as willing to participate. They had a great attitude and I think they turned out pretty good.

Eric had his co-workers over Saturday night for a little Christmas party. That was fun! Great group of guys and lovely significant others! We had a great time. The kids got to have a sleepover so they were thrilled. The girls went to Grandma Cheryl's. Emilee went on and on about how much fun she had, so thanks Cheryl! Cody spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa Hendricks. He is so funny. Grandpa picks him up for church every Sunday and he didn't want to miss out on that so he decided to stay there instead of with the girls. Note to self, buy that kid a new shirt! He wears that one EVERY week!!!! Other than that, we got a lot of snow!! It is beautiful. Very cold but beautiful. We drove the kids around to look at lights. The local paper has a list of what they say are the best in the valley. I would have to disagree with some of their choices but some were very impressive. It gave us a few ideas of how to step it up on our light display and maybe we will be in the running here in the next year or two!

That's about it. I better go. Emilee is home from school. She is wanting to do a little craft. See ya'll.

Family Portraits-Atkinson Family

I am a total wannabe photographer. I took family portraits of some good friends of mine. We had about 2 minutes. It was snowing, it was nap time and dad and baby were not all that into having there pictures taken but they turned out fairly decent. Check them out.

A Little Helpful Information

So my son told me a couple of weeks ago that he sent his letter to Santa. I knew this was a fib but I played along. This morning he was very upset, he said he never really sent his letter and he didn't know how to write Santa and now he was afraid he wouldn't get any presents. Poor kid. I assured him that we could just drop Santa an email and it would get there with plenty of time. Little did I know. Yes, you can actually email Santa. We went to emailsanta.com. Not only can you email the big guy but you can check his naughty and nice list, look at his web cam and even get a instant response (it is even personalized.) Check it out. It is very cool!!!

Happy Thanksgiving

"The Girls" My mom, Me, My sister-Dawn, My grandma- Irene, My niece Grace, and of course My beautiful daughter Emilee. Caitlyn was MIA.
The kids both made hats at school. Aren't they cute?

All geared up for some good eating. We were waiting for daddy to get back from hunting.

Grandpa and his girl.

My mom slaving away in the kitchen.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving today. Good food, good conversation and good company. I ate way too much. I figure diets don't count on holidays right? Well I just wanted to share a few pictures. I need to get to bed early now, it is BLACK FRIDAY tomorrow! Got to be first in line when the doors open at 5am. Hope all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. See ya tomorrow after I hit all the good sales!

I wasn't bit by the crafty bug... maybe the lazy bug.

As I was wasting time, NOT doing the things that I should have been. I came across a few old photos. I know I have already posted them but in case you forgot, enjoy!

So I had big plans. I was going to make some great Christmas decorations to make my home shiny and pretty. I was going to make a awesome diaper cake for a baby shower coming up in a couple of weeks. Then... I was going to make Christmas cards. That I did get done but I have yet to order them. I am feeling cheap. I know, ME. I must not be feeling myself. As for all the other items, NOTHING got done. My house is a mess. Eric is out of town hunting and I have the kids. They seem to be trying to get themselves on Santa's naughty list. They are close, really close. I did do something today that is very grown up of me. I bought my first cook book. Yeah! I even plan on using it. I figure I am going to eventually have to learn how to cook something that doesn't come out of a box. Thanksgiving dinner was a perfect excuse for me to take the plunge. Well tomorrow is another day. I will wake up and again try to tackle my list of TO-DO's. Oh and to add to the stress, it is exactly one month until Christmas. I guess I better add shopping to that list. AWWWWWW.

I was bit... by the crafty bug.

flickr photo

Maybe it is all the time I have been sitting around doped up on pain pills, maybe it is the approaching holidays, or maybe it just a weird fluke but I am feeling CRAFTY. It doesn't happen all that often. When it does I usually call my mom up and make her help me out because usually I get in over my head. I am not sure what I will try tackling today. First off I am going to get the Christmas photos made. I have had a idea of what I want to do since last Christmas so that should go fairly quickly. After that, I am not sure. Maybe mosaics? Maybe beading? Maybe knitting. That would come in handy in the long winter graveyards hours at work. I am not sure. I will be sure to post some pictures when I figure it out though. It should be pretty humorous.

Mission Accomplished

Well I won't go into great detail. I don't want to scar my most loyal reader (Hi dad). But... everything went well yesterday. For as long as I can remember I have been contemplating getting my boobies done. First I had to finish having my babies, check. Next I had to lose those pesky pounds (40 pounds yeah), check. Then I had to get past the anxiety issues. What will people think? Will they look like I want them too? Is it going to hurt? Will my baby girl forgive me for not being able to pick her up for a whole week? All things aside. I did it! I am sore, very sore. But I am happy with my decision and am feeling pretty good about myself. I know this post is borderline "too much information". Hope nobody is freaked out by my divulging of information. I like to tell all, that's just me!

On Vacation!!!

I have 12 days off. YUP! Can you believe it. I am so excited to do well.... NOTHING! I have a little "detail" tomorrow that will require a little rest a relaxation for a few days. I might share more about that later. I haven't decided. Let's just say I am getting a little work done..... Then off to Idaho to visit my brand new baby nephew!! After that is Thanksgiving festivities and who can forget Black Friday! I like my job and all but I sure LOVE days off!! I get a little giddy with excitement. I can't believe that November is almost over already. Crazy to think Christmas is around the corner. Maybe I should be using my days off to do some Christmas shopping. Well hopefully I have lots of fun things to blog about in the next 12 days, check back.

I'll admit I use child labor. It's cheap!

The plan was to have the kids rake leafs for me. I even offered money to them. I think they got two bags and then it was play time. It is hard to find good help these days. So I guess I know what Eric and I will be doing for the next week or so. Two down, about 30+ to go!

A Princess In The Making.

She may be small but she has assumed the "princess" role. Pint sized and full of attitude.

Ahhhh A day off!

It's Thursday. Time to spend relaxing. Soaking in the hot tub with the kiddos. Next on the to do list, catch the latest episode of The Office. I love my days off!!!!

My Cody Bug!

I just love this little guy. I let him play hooky from preschool today so we are just "kickin" at home. We had big plans to hit the library for story hour and then the park but little sis kinda soiled our plans. Literally, soiled our plans. She is... lets just say not up to taking out in public. We never know when an explosion will take place. So we are being lazy around the house. The photo above was taken yesterday. He was waiting on the front porch for Grandpa to pick him up for Sunday School. Cody looks forward to this every week. He insist on a button up shirt like grandpa. It has to have a pocket so he can take coupons and a pen (just like grandpa). I think it is pretty funny. Yesterday he took a coupon for free ice cream. I am sure Grandpa is very proud of my little coupon cutter.

Family Photo Shoot

I procrastinated long enough. We made our attempt to capture a family portrait. A rainy day, a little wardrobe drama and a whole lot of whining and complaining but I think we did okay. A very good friend of mine offered to snap the pictures but I was a little nervous putting in the midst of such chaos. We set up a ladder and used the timer setting on two different cameras. I will always be my biggest critic so of course there are many things I would change, but over all I am pretty happy with the outcome. It has been well over two years since we had a picture taken of the entire family, and poor Caitlyn isn't even in it!
