For some reason, I agreed to make a gingerbread house again this year. It was the usual messy, sticky, chaotic thing as last year. The roof kept slipping off, the candy fell off, there wasn't enough frosting and Emilee got bored after about 2 min and just ate the candy. But...Emilee enjoyed herself. I was able to spend a good hour with my special little girl hearing about her day at school, her friends, her class, what she wants for Christmas. She was proud of her work and we now have a beautiful house to display...... somewhere.

Isn't that funny that we both did these on the same day? Finding a spot to put them is difficult. I tried to put ours out of reach but I have a feeling that it may be missing a few pieces of candy before long.
